Floor Lamps

A floor lamp is a simple and effective way to change the appearance of a room. They can be used for task lighting such a reading and computer work, or to change the ambient (main) lighting by placing several floor lamps around a room. Floor lamps are also great for accent lighting. Standing a floor lamp next to a wall will create a washing effect, or an uplighter can reflect soft light from the ceiling above. Also a mother and child light combines an uplighter (mother) with a second (child) reading light on a flexible arm, a perfect solution for an accent and task light in one.

Floor lamps come in traditional and modern designs with a variety of finishes such a wood, chrome, glass and ceramic and are a welcome addition to rooms where a flexible light solution is required.
